WestBIC

WestBIC is the official EC Business & Innovation Centre in the Border, Midland & Western region of Ireland providing tailored support to innovative enterprise through the initial stages, from concept to commercialisation. Established in 1987, WestBIC is a specialist provider in the Government's portfolio of supports to indigenous industry, supported under the National Development Plan. WestBIC is an active member of both the Association of EC BIC’s in Ireland and European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN).

WestBICs aims and objectives include: the provision of business support to Innovative Start-Ups, the provision of assistance to Intermediaries involved in enterprise creation and development, the management of Incubation Space for knowledge intensive enterprises, linking entrepreneurs with seed capital opportunities, provision of mentoring to early stageenterprise and assisting the internationalisation of companies via our international networks.

WestBIC's motivation for joining the ACE project is to help accelerate the internationalisation of the many ICT companies we work with on a daily basis. In addition, we are keen to work with our international partners in testing and developing new and innovative models for cross border trade.
